Note:
If want to reply to someone from the mailing list and include their comments for all to see, you must forward the e-mail to the list. If you reply, they will be the only ones to receive your e-mail.

What are the guidelines that should be followed when using this list?

-No naming other people.

-No second guessing the Elders' decisions. There is a proper way of doing that and a discussion list is not the way. Elders should be approached personally.

-No advertising your businesses, garage sales, or other personal things.

-Questionable thoughts, ideas, or comments should be directed privately to rogershouse@hmcoc.org.

-If someone says something you don't agree with, discuss it in a loving way, Eph. 4:15. Don't send it on to other people, make fun of someone, or humiliate them. We need to allow for that sort of thing with the understanding that we're all in search of the truth.

This list will not be used for getting back at someone or anything of the sort. It will be a tool of encouragement and learning!

Problems with the mailing list itself should be directed to mailmanager@hmcoc.org.

What kind of things will be discussed?

That is up to each of you. Questions about Bible verses, thoughts from Bible Classes, additional thoughts about sermons that were preached, good books you have read, even sermon suggestions are all some of the things that can be talked about.

What about controversial topics? Yes.

What good will come out of this?

First, it is an avenue for you to have questions answered and even resources to study and help you. This can also give you practical ideas of what others are doing in their spiritual journey that can help you. And it will be a means for us to be in touch with each other on a spiritual level throughout the week — and even when some of us travel.

We believe this is a good opportunity and look forward to learning from all the things that will be shared.
